Background
Garic Ltd supplies plant and site equipment to construction sites. A successful and growing business, they initially approached BCN Group to help them migrate from on-premise to Office 365 and to provide full helpdesk support. They were looking for an IT partner that not only had the technical skills experience for this project but also a strategic, outward-looking approach with a full-service IT offering.
Garic Ltd was and still is a growing company so they needed an IT partner who could provide strategic guidance and full-service solutions as their requirements evolved and their business grew.
Discover and Propose
BCN Group was initially engaged to provide 9 am–5 pm remote support and the company’s migration from on-premise to Office 365 for their 270 users across five sites.
When we first began working with Garic Ltd, they had an aging infrastructure that did not allow them to operate as efficiently as they needed to.
Their successful migration to Office 365 meant they began using Teams and SharePoint to increase their efficiency, productivity, and communication across the business, such as improved file storage, file editing, collaboration, visibility of project status etc.
Transform and Adopt
Following the successful migration to Office 365 and Garic Ltd’s satisfaction with the IT support they were receiving, BCN Group started taking responsibility for a broader IT remit which included:
- Professional services / IT consultancy, providing strategic IT advice on infrastructure and helping Garic Ltd. navigate their digital transformation
- An engineer on site one day per month
- Network refresh – we upgraded Garic Ltd’s infrastructure (servers,SAN, networking and other core networks)
- Sage – licencing, bespoke development, support, Sicon WAP, infrastructure refresh
- Security – fully managed service including monitoring, detection and prevention
- Backup, Storage and Disaster Recovery (DR) – Strategic Planning and Implementation
- Procurement of hardware and software
- Full helpdesk support – increased to 7am-7pm
Manage and Evolve
Garic Ltd continue to grow their business and digitally transform with the support of BCN Group.
Garic Ltd is currently considering developing a bespoke web approval system via a portal utilising Sicon WAP to help streamline and digitalise the process for purchasing and purchase ledger which is currently a manual process. This would deliver significant benefits to business operations, providing visibility over stock levels, cost, and important details for materials and billing.
