In light of the changing economic climate and other global events, Microsoft has deferred pricing adjustments based on currency fluctuations thus far. However, following a sustained period of lower local currency, Microsoft is now begininng a process to realign it’s prices globally.
Due to the uncertainty of the current economic climate and other global events, starting on the 1st April 2023, a 9% adjustment will be effective for Microsoft Cloud services. This will apply to all legacy CSP services at the point of renewal, or where additional products are purchased (as available), and to all NCE seat based products renewed or added.
These adjustments will not affect existing orders under licensing agreements for products that are subject to price protection. However, prices for new product additions under such licensing agreements and purchases under new contracts will be as defined by the price list at the time of order.
From April the 1st, Microsoft will implement a defined and transparent cadence to align Microsoft cloud pricing across regions. Organisations of all sizes with prices in local currencies will now be able to plan for pricing alignments to the US dollar (USD) and global parity at bi-annual intervals, subject to market conditions.
Azure offerings sold through the Microsoft Customer Agreement (MCA) are already priced in USD globally, therefore those list prices will not be affected by these bi-annual adjustments.
Partners and customers will continue to find Microsoft Cloud offerings highly competitive, and we believe that digital technology can help them mitigate some of the curr the ent challenges, and save costs, in other areas of their business.
As BCN are updated on this, we will share additional details in the coming weeks and months.
